All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow. Applications are invited for contractual staff for the project entitled “Establishment of a simple and cost-effective method for molecular surveillance of Influenza using Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing technology”. Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the following post at AIIMS Bhopal on a purely temporary basis for this project
Duration Of Project:- 3 Years
Tenure:- 1 year; subject to continuation, depending on the performance of the candidate and continuation of the project
Salary:-
31,000/- + HRA as applicable
Eligibility Criteria:-
M.Sc./ M.V.Sc./ M.Tech or equivalent degree in Life Sciences (Zoology/Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Biochemistry). Desirable: Expertise in Molecular Biology technique

Steps to apply:-
1. There will be a Walk-in-Interview at 11:00 PM on 30th November 2021 in the domains of eligibility Qualification.
The Candidates shall report by 09:30 AM to the principal Investigator at the Selection venue.
2. The candidates have to report with these credentials:-
i) Duly Filled application form
ii) Self-attested photocopies of proof of date of birth (class 10th certificate/ school leaving certificate), eligibility qualification mark sheets, degrees, experience certificate, caste certificate, qualifying degree registration with the statutory council (if applicable), and other relevant testimonials.
Terms and Conditions:-
1. It is the candidates’ responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed qualification and experience. Any misinformation detected at any stage will make the candidate liable for legal action. Permission to appear in the selection process does not approve the eligibility of the candidate. Even after qualifying the selection process the candidate may be rendered disqualified at the time of document verification if he/ she does not fulfill essential eligibility criteria.
2. Tenure: The assignments for contractual posts are purely on a contract basis for the period specified above. This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in AIIMS Bhopal or ICMR/DHR or for continued contractual appointment.
3. Expiry of Contract: The contract will automatically expire on completion of the period specified above until it is renewed with mutual consent for the decided period. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
4. Leave: The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of the ICMR leave policy governing extramural research projects as amended from time to time.
5. Accommodation: No hostel or any other accommodation will be provided by the Institute / Principal Investigator.
6. The candidate who is already in government service shall submit a 'No Objection Certificate" from the present employer at the time of the walk-in-written test.
7. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection.
8. The candidate should bring along original certificates in support of his/her age, educational/ professional qualification, experience, etc., two recent passport size color photographs and one set of self-attested photocopies of the relevant documents failing which he/she will not be allowed to participate in the walk-in-written test.
9. The candidate applying in response to his advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility in all respects.
10.No traveling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the written examination or for joining the post.
11. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
12. Private practice of any type is prohibited.
13. He / She can be posted at any place as per the requirement of the project including rural areas/field sites.
14. He / She is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the institute employees.
15. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
16. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
